Barnhart
Interests, Inc.
is a commercial real estate company with thirty
years of experience in construction, ownership,
management and leasing of office buildings and
retail shopping centers.
Over
fifty years ago, the Barnhart family purchased
approximately 27 acres of land in what is currently
the Galleria/Uptown area of Houston, Texas.
Commercial development of this land by Barnhart
Interests, Inc. began in 1976 with the construction
of Sage Park, a three-story 120,000 square foot
atrium building designed by Morris
Aubry Architects.
The
development of Sage Plaza Office Building, a
560,000 square foot Class A office tower followed
in 1982 (also designed by Morris Architects).
Originally a spec building, Sage Plaza quickly
leased to Sohio Petroleum for their headquarters
relocation from California and retained 95%+
occupancies through the transition to British
Petroleum and Halliburton Company.
The
83,000 square foot Sage Plaza Retail Shopping
Center was developed in 1996 on the corner of
Sage Road and San Felipe Road and accomplished
100% occupancy within 6 months of completion.
This grocery-anchored project is ideally located
between the Tanglewood and Briargrove Subdivisions
and the Galleria mall and office building developments
in the Uptown business district.
Barnhart
Interests has recently developed neighborhood
retail centers in and around the greater Houston
area, and currently owns two centers in Cinco Ranch just west of Houston. |
